Department of Civil Engineering

Department of Civil Engineering

About the Department

The civil engineering major is considered one of the oldest majors in the faculties of engineering at the international level, due to the multiplicity of fields of work in this specialization.

The work of the civil engineer includes many engineering aspects such as the design, construction and maintenance of various engineering facilities such as buildings (of various types and uses), bridges, roads, dams, water tanks, water networks, irrigation and sewage, as well as the civil engineer has a prominent role in examining various construction materials, managing engineering projects, calculating quantities and cost, and finding appropriate solutions to soil and foundation problems, in addition to proposing and designing appropriate construction methods, and the civil engineer participates actively in traffic studies, environmental studies and Environmental impact assessment on various projects.

Due to the comprehensiveness of the civil engineer job and to achieve the department’s objectives of graduating qualified civil engineers, the study plan for civil engineering at the Faculty of Engineering / Ajloun National University has been designed to cover all the mentioned aspects.

Vision

Provide high-quality education in the field of civil engineering and active participation in community service.

Mission

Graduating qualified civil engineers who are able to participate in the real sustainable development in their communities by providing high-quality engineering education, in addition to serving the local community by actively contributing to scientific research, knowledge exchange, engineering consultations and professional activities.

Department’s objectives
