The establishment of the Faculty of Agriculture at Ajloun National University came in response to the national and regional need to address various environmental and economic challenges, including water scarcity, climate change, rising production costs, and other issues. The primary goal of the Faculty of Agriculture at Ajloun National University is to supply the local and regional community with qualified agricultural engineers, both scientifically and professionally, to work in various agricultural fields. This will drive the development of a better future and achieve the university’s mission in serving the community and the nation. The faculty also aims to realize its vision, mission, and objectives, derived from the vision and mission of the university, in advancing purposeful scientific research to find solutions to the challenges facing the local community. It strives to build bridges of scientific and research cooperation with many Arab and international universities, as well as with various state institutions and private sector organizations. The faculty is committed to making every effort to be at the forefront of agricultural colleges and to achieve a prominent position on both the Arab and regional levels. I am pleased to congratulate the students of the faculty on their affiliation with this prestigious academic institution, which they will be proud of today and in the future. I encourage them to make knowledge and learning their path in life, to serve their communities. In conclusion, I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to the university administration, represented by its president, as well as to the faculty members of the Faculty of Agriculture and the administrative staff. The vision of the faculty is to establish itself as one of the leading institutions, providing the community with educational services, scientific research, and expertise in order to prepare students with exceptional and professional experiences in the field of agriculture. This will enable them to compete in the job market and create a generation dedicated to scientific research.

Emerging from the vision and mission of our faculty and university, the Agriculture program at Ajloun National University seeks to prepare distinguished graduates who are scientifically qualified, behaviorally skilled, and possess creative thinking. These graduates will be capable of competing in the job market, solving its challenges, conducting research, and serving and developing the community. This will be achieved through the application of quality standards in teaching, education, research, and training.

  1. To prepare graduates with a high level of competence, enabling them to transfer academic knowledge and expertise to farmers and rural communities.
  2. To establish the faculty as a distinguished educational center in this field at local, regional, and international levels.
  3. To train human resources in agriculture and rural sociology who are capable of adopting modern techniques and methods that contribute to the continuous improvement of rural communities, enabling them to efficiently utilize available resources while preserving them for future generations.
  4. To continuously develop educational programs that keep pace with and benefit from the experiences of advanced countries in this regard.
  5. To provide excellent education that prepares graduates and researchers capable of keeping up with developments in the field of agriculture.
  6. To create an appropriate environment for students to maximize the benefits of available educational opportunities, helping them to align with and adapt to the evolving job market.
  7. To promote scientific research activities and encourage studies that contribute to the betterment of the surrounding environment and national, particularly agricultural, economies.
  8. To conduct applied academic research that aids in advancing research methodologies and developing social measurement tools, with a focus on incorporating technological approaches to provide informational decisions that serve as the foundation for integrated rural development programs.
