The department was established in the first semester of the 2025/2026 academic year, with teaching commencing on October 11, 2025. The department offers a Bachelor’s degree program in Physical Education and boasts a highly experienced faculty in various sports fields. The department’s faculty members contribute to the growth and development of the Jordanian sports movement Through their volunteer work in Jordanian sports clubs and subcommittees emanating from the Jordanian Olympic Committee and the Supreme Council for Youth, the department organizes seminars and lectures in the field of physical education within the university. Faculty members in the department also give public lectures in Jordanian schools and clubs in the fields of physical education and sports science.
